As a Remote Resource Specialist/Manager you will be responsible for optimizing workforce planning capacity management and resource allocation across departments or projects. Youll serve as a key liaison between project managers department heads and human resources to ensure the right people are assigned to the right workbalancing availability skills and strategic goals.
This role requires a combination of analytical thinking communication and operational execution to support scalable project delivery and organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and track allocation of personnel across multiple projects departments or client engagements
Maintain and continuously update the resource management system with employee availability skills and assignments
Partner with team leads and department managers to identify upcoming resourcing needs and address gaps or conflicts
Support demand forecasting and capacity planning efforts
Analyze utilization rates and generate reports on staffing trends bottlenecks and optimization opportunities
Participate in onboarding and knowledge-sharing efforts to ensure smooth transitions between projects
Contribute to process improvements for resource planning and talent deployment
Coordinate with HR recruitment and learning teams to help align talent strategy with business needs
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Operations Management HR or related field
2 years of experience in resource planning workforce management or project coordination
Familiarity with resource management tools (e.g. Float Mavenlink Smartsheet SAP Workday)
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage competing priorities and navigate organizational complexity.
