Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resource Manager to lead a small high-impact team in delivering people-focused HR operations. The ideal candidate is proactive service-oriented and confident in making thoughtful data-informed decisions. This hybrid role requires in-office presence two days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of HR operations including employee relations compliance benefits and policy development across a multi-state organization
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle: onboarding performance management and offboarding
- Drive HR strategy by setting team KPIs improving cross-functional processes and implementing forward-thinking initiatives
- Serve as a trusted advisor to staff at all levels offering empathetic expert support on HR matters
- Manage benefits administration including open enrollment leave programs and retirement plans
- Support employee immigration processes in coordination with legal counsel
- Promote a values-driven compliant and inclusive workplace culture
- Conduct regular HR audits to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with federal and state laws
- Address employee relations matters with professionalism and discretion
- Oversee HRIS systems reporting and data-driven process improvements
- Maintain up-to-date legally compliant handbooks and internal HR policies
Required:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field
- 5 years of progressive HR experience across core functions
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proficient in HR technologies and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Experience leading or mentoring HR team members
- Knowledge of immigration and work authorization processes (e.g. H1B E3 TN visas)
- HR certification (e.g. SHRM-CP PHR)
- Multi-state HR experience
- Public Notary certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience in the technology or staffing sectors
