We are YSS!
YSS is seeking an amiable active adaptable and attentive Kids Club Lead Program Assistant to help lead our Ledges Elementary team!
In this role youll keep things running smoothly before and after school at your assigned site. Youll help plan schedule and bring to life fun safe and enriching programming for kids from kindergarten through middle school.
This isnt just a school-year gigyoull also help lead the charge on no-school days holiday breaks summer programming and teacher in-service days. Youll work closely with staff and volunteers to keep activities well-organized well-supervised and full of energy.
In partnership with the Site Supervisor youll help create an experience thats safe educational and funnot just for the kids but for the staff and volunteers too. Key responsibilities include:
- Program Leadership & Daily Operations
- Run the show each day at your sitesupporting smooth fun and safe before and after school programming.
- Lead teaching activities and help plan exciting lessons games and field trips that keep kids learning and engaged.
- Plan and serve nutritious meals and snacks (yes snack time is a big deal!).
- Coordinate all-day programming on no-school days holiday breaks teacher in-service days and throughout summer.
- Work closely with your Site Supervisor to design awesome programs and troubleshoot when needed.
- Staff Support & Administration
- Supervise and schedule your on-site teamfinding subs when necessary and keeping everything covered.
- Dedicate 5 hours a week outside of program time to plan prep and tackle those admin tasks (we know theyre not glamorous but theyre important!).
- Track attendance behavior and progress for each child and make sure assessments and paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
- Maintain organized site-specific records and help ensure the program meets high quality standards.
- Creating a Positive Environment
- Supervise children directly during programmingmaking sure theyre safe supported and having a blast.
- Collaborate with community partners to bring in fun educational experiences.
- Greet families warmly answer their questions collect payments and ensure proper check-in/check-out procedures.
- Build strong relationships with school staff janitorial teams parents and volunteersyoure the glue that helps it all stick.
- Teamwork & Professional Development
- Meet weekly with your Site Supervisor for support ideas and game plans.
- Attend program meetings and staff trainings to stay sharp grow your skills and stay connected with the team.
- Always uphold agency policies and help keep the program a place of safety respect and fun.
