Overview
Role: Floor Technician
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Hours: Mon-Fri (3-11pm)
Location: 172 Rutledge ave Charleston SC 29403

Responsibilities
- Perform specialized floor care tasks such as stripping waxing buffing and carpet cleaning.
- Safely operate various types of floor care equipment such as auto scrubbers and burnishers.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of floors in public and private spaces including hallways classrooms offices and common areas.
- Comply with safety standards and follow all infection control sanitation and hazardous materials policies.
- Respond promptly to floor care requests and maintain communication with campus staff.
- Perform light janitorial duties including trash removal as needed.
- Collaborate with your supervisor and team to identify areas needing attention or improvement.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in floor care or janitorial services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to operate and maintain specialized floor care equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with students staff and guests.
- Compliance with safety and quality standards at all times.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds push/pull a maximum of 75 pounds stand sit bend and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform routine repetitive tasks daily and work in an environment that requires handling cleaning products.
- Must provide a criminal background check.
