The Product Manager combines strategic vision with the ability to implement tactical strategies for profitable growth. This position develops products by identifying potential products; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications production timetables pricing and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies. This role works to understand product synergies to facilitate complexity reduction product pruning and overall portfolio.
Work mode: Hybrid (2-4 days onsite)
Location: Kohler WI

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages the product lifecycle from new product introduction through product maturation continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Data analysis used to develop global strategic goals
- Direct the implementation of the global product line strategic plan to prioritize and maximize company and product line profitability and investments
- Determines customers needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
- Assesses market competition by comparing the companys product to competitors products.
- Drives the highest value products into the market at maximum profit and sales.
- Prepares and coaches sales team on product application information product initiatives and profitability equations.
- Serves as a resource and partner with Sales during long-term contract negotiations.
- Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
- Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
- Obtain product market share by working with the sales director and strategic marketing to develop product sales strategies.
- Conduct market studies including VOC to understand new/adjacent market opportunities and assess viability
- Bringing new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
- Introduce and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales marketing and production.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- As the expert in the assigned product line make product presentations to key customers including national accounts end users contractors & specifying engineers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in engineering Business or Marketing; MBA preferred
- Experience: Knowledge of industrial based products/markets:preferredminimum 5 years experience in Sales/Marketing/Manufacturing/ProductManagement environment (or Industrial Marketing).
- Product Management People Management Understanding the Customer Product Development Requirements Analysis Pricing Planning Competitive Analysis Sales Planning Inventory Control Financial Planning and Strategy
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel & Power Point
- CRM experience Microsoft or (not required)
- A personable enthusiastic and engaging personality.
- Ambitious and demonstrates initiative.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to get along with others.
- Effectively function in a matrix and team environment.
- Highly organized drive deadlines

The Salary range for this position is $107650.00-$ specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience their education and the work location.
