As a Senior Consultant or Manager Valuation based inWarrang Sydney you will support our clients within the Financial Services industry regarding valuation matters in various contexts including for transactions portfolio assessment restructuring and strategic planning. This work usually assists clients in addressing matters relating to commercial financial reporting tax regulatory matters or strategy.
Your key responsibilities:
- Work within small project teams to undertake valuations of businesses and intangible assets. Your work will be for various purposes including management planning mergers and acquisitions (M&A) tax financial reporting and disputes.
- Take ownership for delivery of projects within each team. You will be the key person responsible for managing and preparation of valuation reports and detailed financial modelling and analysis.
- Think critically identify issues and propose strategies related to the advice being provided.
- Maintain positive productive and professional relationships with client personnel and colleagues
Skills and attributes for success
- Extensive experience in valuation within the Financial Services sector
- A degree in finance economics accounting or business with demonstrated aptitude in quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Possessing a CFA credential or actively pursuing one
- Direct experience utilising various valuation techniques and methodologies (market comparables discounted cash flow etc) for different purposes
- Experience in financial modelling in MS Excel and related software preferred
- Experience conducting valuations for accounting and or tax planning purposes is desired
- Excellent analytical communication organisational interpersonal and teaming skills
Ideally youll also have the skills and attributes below but dont worry if you dont tick all the boxes. Were interested in your aptitude attitude and willingness to learn.
- Having a CA qualification would be beneficial but it is not essential
- An open curious mind which can help us to enhance the way we work and bring creative solutions to clients problems
