Apples Cellular Software team is seeking talented highly motivated and disciplined engineers to work across layers on groundbreaking cellular technologies. The position involves identifying and/or developing core cellular technologies that solves everyday problems for customers using iPhone iPad Watch and other wireless product lines. - This role requires critical expertise in multiple layers in cellular protocols experience with UE and/or NW protocols development for various 3GPP technologies is important. The candidate must demonstrate proven understanding of relevant protocol procedures and network interactions. The duties of this position will include design develop and maintain cellular protocol device side host test and network simulation environment.
- 2years of experience in one or more of following for cellular protocol stack relevant features on commercial UE or protocol test systems are essential: protocol feature development test
- specification test case implementation and analysis.
- Strong Software Engineering skills including design programming (using C C) scripting (Python preferred Perl) and debugging.
- Highly motivated and self-directed.
- Excellent debugging skills.
- Experience with cellular protocol stacks preferred 2G 3G LTE and 5G NR.
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while confidently driving multiple projects across many teams.
- Obsessively passionate and inquisitive and seeks to solve everyday problems in innovative ways.
- Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers.
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $120300 and $210100 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
