The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
Department / Research Program: IDIGH
This position is for a Clinical Research Coordinator for the Genetic Susceptibility to Infectious and Immune-mediated Diseases. Under the direction of the PI (Dr. Vinh) the Clinical Research Coordinator of the Vinh lab assists in participant recruitment informed consent processes data collection and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
General Duties
Identify and communicate with selected patients of interest
Consent/recruit patients onto study protocols
Coordinate blood sampling of enrolled patients and transport of samples to the appropriate labs
Ensuring proper completion and storage of consent forms.
Clinical data collection and data entry
Other coordinator tasks as needed.
Excellent French and English spoken and written
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook) and Google Drive (e.g. docs spreadsheet).
Status : Temporary Part-Time (14 hours)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education & work experience. $24.40-$45.29/h
Work Shift: Variable Schedule: Variable weekly schedule: Specific work days and hours are determined by participant/patient availability. This role requires a high degree of scheduling flexibility as work hours and days are determined by participant/patient availability and may change with short notice.
Work Site: Multisite: Patients may be recruited from any of the hospitals of the MUHC: Royal Victoria Hospital (Glen site) Montreal General Hospital Montreal Neurological Institute Lachine Hospital
