Job Description
This position resides within the Endoscopy Business Unit which focuses on cutting-edge electromechanical systems and equipment for minimally invasive this fast-paced and highly regulated environment youll directly contribute to life-changing medical technology. We are seeking an Engineer with a strong foundation in electromechanical system design and testing. Ideal candidates will have experience in the medical devices automotive or similarly regulated industries.
What you will do:
Technical Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Develop and execute solutions to a range of technical challenges of moderate complexity.
- Build strong working relationships with cross-functional teams including R&D Advanced Operations and Quality.
Design & Development
- Design and implement electromechanical test systems for current and next-generation products.
- Collaborate with design engineers to troubleshoot and iterate on early product concepts.
- Support equipment and process development for new product introductions (NPIs) and technology transfers.
Manufacturing Support
- Lead or contribute to DFM/T PFMEA control plans and PPAP documentation.
- Conduct root-cause analysis gauge R&R studies and statistical analyses (DOE Cp/Cpk).
- Perform MSA studies and introduce new manufacturing technologies to improve process capability.
- Train manufacturing personnel on new equipment and processes.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all work complies with Strykers Quality System applicable regulations and the Stryker Code of Conduct.
- Prepare and maintain thorough engineering documentation in support of design development and manufacturing activities.
What you need:
- Bachelors in Engineering
- 0 years of experience
Preferred Skills:
- Electrical Engineering preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with schematics test equipment and electromechanical systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; experience with process mapping and validation tools preferred.
- Effective communicator with strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
