Job Description

RN Intensive Care Unit (Permanent Role)

Location: Buda TX 78610
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and determine priorities in patient and family care.
  • Develop implement and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs and desired outcomes.
  • Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and families while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
  • Educate patients families nursing staff and community members on health conditions treatment options and care processes.
  • Continuously evaluate patient education needs and document progress.
  • Collaborate with physicians staff and external care providers to ensure cohesive care planning.
  • Safely delegate and follow up on nursing tasks.
  • Apply evidence-based problem-solving strategies in complex care situations.
  • Prioritize safety efficiency and effectiveness in delivering high-quality care.
  • Engage in team collaboration and contribute to the professional development of peers.
  • Demonstrate community involvement and uphold the hospitals mission.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong clinical knowledge and understanding of nursing standards and ICU protocols.
  • Familiarity with state and federal nursing regulations and hospital procedures.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology disease management medications and side effects.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal skills for engaging with patients families and medical teams.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving ability in high-stress environments.
  • Competence in basic computer and documentation systems (e.g. MS Office EMR scheduling).
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid and Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
