What Youll Be Doing
Youll be joining CIBCsCommercial Banking and Payments Technology Global Wires and Payments Department. You will be part of Wires- Operational Data Store application. Youllwill be responsible for the design development and integration testing in support of small to large scale projects. You will be responsible for providing production support when addition you will sometimes act as an application specificwork package lead or as a project-level and cross-functional Technical Lead. Technical Leads liaise with other application work package leads and provide high-level design oversight to ensure an optimal end-to-end solution is implemented.

How Youll Succeed
- Application Development - You will code and configure solutions using multiple tools and technologies while meeting code quality targets for data programs ETL pipelines data transformations and other data engineering development tasks.
- Requirement Analysis and Design- You will help translate Business Requirements into Solution Requirements and Technical design. This may include working directly with the Business to gain a complete understanding of their request to ensure the end solution meets their needs with minimal design defects.
- Production Support You will be taking part in day to day production support workand support business users if there are any production issues. You will work with application support teams to analyze log files and resolve the issues based on priority.
Who You Are
- You can demonstrate 7 years of experience in designing developing and maintaining scalable and secure SQL database solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. This role requires strong expertise in Azure SQL Database data integration and performance optimization to support business-critical applications and analytics. Design develop and maintain SQL Server databases including tables views indexes and stored procedures. Write optimize and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data extraction transformation and reporting. Develop and manage ETL processes using Azure Data Factory and related Azure services. Integrate Azure SQL Databases with other Azure resources (e.g. Data Lake Event Hub Key Vault) and external systems. Collaborate withapplication developers and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Monitor and tune database performance including query optimization and resource management. Ensure data integrity and security by implementing best practices for database design and access controls. Support production environments including incidentresolution root cause analysis and performance troubleshooting. Document database structures processes and procedures for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of database development standards and practices. Work with cloud-based data solutions (such as Azure SQL Database and SQL Managed Instance) as required.
