We are looking for a dynamic organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Logistics Analyst in Lafayette IN.

OurProduct Support and Logistics Division (PSLD)is one of the most innovative divisions within PSLD as within all of Caterpillar our priority is ourcustomers and helping them build a better world. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts integrated logistics and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.

Job Summary:

  • This Logistics Analyst will support logistics operations and lead key projects aimed at improving efficiency cost-effectiveness and service quality. This role involves data analysis process improvement and cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of logistics initiatives.

Additional Info:

  • This role is in Lafeyette IN and does not offer relocation. This role will transition to Lebanon IN within a year
  • This role is 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
  • This role is 100% on-site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules
  • This role requires up to 50% domestic travel
  • This role requires to be on call to support operations as needed

What You Will Do:

  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support and manage logistics-related projects from planning through execution and post-implementation review.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to coordinate transportation warehousing and distribution activities.
  • Develop and maintain reports dashboards and KPIs to track logistics performance.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Provide analytical support for budgeting forecasting and cost analysis.
  • Participate in system upgrades testing and implementation of logistics tools and platforms.
  • Troubleshoot logistics issues and recommend solutions to enhance service levels.
  • Support and collaborate with the Logistics Planning Analyst to align operational strategies and planning efforts.
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure data accuracy system integration and effective use of logistics technologies.
  • Willingness to work overtime including weekends and/or on-call shifts as needed to support operations.
  • Travel between warehouse locations to provide on-site support and coordination.

What You Have (Required Skills):

  • Logistics Management: Knowledge of logistics and management; ability to follow proper processes and run operations for effective and efficient movement of materials and finished products.
  • Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge experience and skills into real practice.
  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches tools techniques for recognizing anticipating and resolving organizational operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools for data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Skills):

  • Bachelors degree in business Logistics Operations Management or a related field.
  • Experience in Power BI
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana MS Project Jira).
  • Familiarity with logistics software (e.g. WMS MTS).
  • Certification in any project management

Summary Pay Range:

$71040.00 - $106440.00
