Job Description
As a Senior BI Engineer on the Services Data Science & Analytics team you will work with massive internet-scale data across numerous product and customer touch-points undertaking in-depth quantitative analysis and distilling data into actionable and intuitive visualizations to drive informed decision-making. A great fit for this role can communicate and collaborate across many different teams has an agile approach to solving challenging problems quickly and stresses the details. We are looking for you to design and build executive reporting solutions highly polished dashboards and exploratory self-service tools as well as the datasets that power them to analyze and present insights associated with customer experience product performance business operations and strategic decision-making. Often you will closely partner with our Data Science peers to define metrics design datasets and develop the automation strategy. Extensive collaboration with Product Business Engineering and Marketing teams is vital to our this role you will iterate with these teams on key business outcomes influence how our services are measured and craft world-class tools and insights to support them at scale. As your ideas take shape you will establish and socialize a comprehensive roadmap to communicate and manage stakeholder expectations while enabling org-wide transparency on progress. This role will require extensive experience taking complex multifaceted projects from idea to production - preferably in a lead capacity. Ideally you have a curious business mindset with the ability to condense complex concepts and analysis into clear and concise takeaways that drive action. Were looking for someone known for effectively bridging analytics and business teams with an ability to masterfully speak the language of both.
- 10 years of experience in a Data Visualization Data Scientist or Data Analyst role
- Strong proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau / PowerBI / MicroStrategy / etc. for analysis insight synthesis reporting deliverable design & development and executive presentation.
- Proficiency with SQL Python & Spark and experience using those skills with very large datasets.
- Familiarity with data engineering tools and concepts data pipeline development data model design and aggregation strategies in support of responsive and highly interactive data products.
- Excellent communication social and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects with tight deadlines and executive visibility.
- BS in Computer Science Statistics Mathematics Information Systems Engineering Economics or a related field
- Experience in a digital subscription business or large-scale e-commerce platform
- MS in Computer Science Statistics Mathematics Information Systems Engineering Economics or a related field
At Apple base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $172100 and $305600 and your base pay will depend on your skills qualifications experience and location.
