Job Description
US Farathane is hiring for a Product Engineer this is a new addition to our Ford business unit the role will sit on-site at our Corporate Tech Center.
The Product Engineer is responsible to manage and develop new product for specific customer programs with focus on internal and external customer deliverables to include design and part feasibilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and communicate development of new product- daily
- Support design activities of new product- daily
- Manage testing requirements for new products - as required
- Maintain and manage ED&T budgets for each assigned program-weekly
- Support APQP database (Phase 0 & 1) for each assigned program weekly
- Creating and maintaining DFMEA DVP Open Issues
- Support USF customers with ongoing communication meetings weekly
- Support tool trials and pre-production build activities as needed
- Support launch activities at USF manufacturing and customer sites-throughout launch and SOP Post 90 activities.

- Education and Experience: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or university; or technical school; or 6 months to 1-year related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills; Ability to read analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaint from customers regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management public groups and/or boards of directors.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents logarithms quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution determination of test reliability and validity analysis of variance correlation techniques sampling theory and factor analysis.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

This position operates in a professional office environment with controlled temperatures. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers filing cabinets and fax machines.
Will have some exposure to loud noise hot and cold temperatures in manufacturing plants.
