ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY SR. ENGINEER
What you will do

Environmental Sustainability is an evolving space with increasing market and regulatory requirements for action and this vital role you will be responsible for leading the biodiversity strategy and circular economy activities at a global level supporting sustainable value chain and climate action strategy and voluntary and non-voluntary reporting
Your work will lead Amgen to continued full compliance with environmental sustainability regulation and demonstrated environmental sustainability leadership.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as project manager for voluntary and non-voluntary disclosures (e.g. CDP)
Supporting climate action strategy activities (e.g. climate risk analysis)
Building and managing customer relationships across Amgens sites and functions (e.g. Global Strategic Sourcing for scope 3 emissions) including office facilities and functions to facilitate environmental program and regulatory requirements and manage activities to address these.
Working in global environment to support Amgens Environmental Sustainability Requests Process and ensure high-quality on-time responses when competing for new and/or repeat business.
Supporting environmental sustainability engagement and training initiatives (e.g. Ambassador team internal communications environmental sustainability guidances)
Acting as Amgens global lead for environmental sustainability programs (for example biodiversity and circular economy) and representing Amgen as the subject matter expert in external forums and working groups.
Support departmental spend control processes through purchase order creation and tracking

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree OR
Masters degree and 2 years of environmental sustainability experience OR
Bachelors degree and 4 years of environmental sustainability experience OR
Associates degree and 8 years of environmental sustainability experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of environmental sustainability experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Passion and interest in environmental sustainability.
Masters degree in a relevant subject area.
Experience in sustainability and/or environmental roles.
Strong collaboration in a diverse culture is a key differentiator for this role.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and oral communication skills relationship building and leadership skills.
Proficient in English
Highly organized with exceptional project management skills.
Experience working with ESG frameworks and concepts.
Self-starter with the ability to concurrently manage several projects or assignments.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to relevant skills experience and qualifications.
