Job Description
WHAT IS ON OFFER
Alfred H Knight has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Project Lead to join our team in Rotherham this role you will be responsible for managing all technical operations of the business client liaison and ensuring that the quality of service is maintained within the AHK Group Solid Fuels business in its execution of work with regard to sample preparation sampling consulting surveying and inspection activity services. You will provide technical advice and support across all fuel streams to ensure that an efficient and high quality service is provided in order to meet required international recognised standards.
Working with the Operations Manager you will ensure that there is efficient and effective management of all resources and support full alignment with the companys ISO 17025 accreditation ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.

To be successful at Alfred H Knight you will need to display the following:
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Required Competencies
- Ability to organise effectively manage manpower evaluate operational requirements and determine logical conclusions based on experience and methodologies
- Highly organised with excellent communication
and interpersonal skills with the ability to inform others - Excellent administrative skills
- Strong relationship building skills internally and externally
- Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative in a dynamic work environment with changing priorities
- Strong quality focus with a strive for excellence
- Highly proficient IT skills - Microsoft and Google applications
- Full competency and understanding of Citrix
- Good numeracy skills
Required Work Experience
- Experience of working in a client facing role with excellent customer service skills and technical knowledge
- Experience of writing reports
- Experience of managing people
- Minimum 5 year experience of inspection and sample preparation analysis in particular working with coal/biomass and RDF business streams
- Minimum 3 years experience working with multiple management levels
Required Qualifications
- Qualification in Engineering or Laboratory testing
Travel
- The role is based in the UK and will require both UK and international travel.
- Travel and work rotations will be dictated by work schedules and the needs of the business
