Cass County North Dakota is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as Finance Director in a multifaceted role that encompasses the statutory duties of County Auditor and County Treasurer including oversight of all accounting and financial reporting management of budget and treasury functions administration of elections issuance of marriage licenses and collection of property tax revenues. While this unique opportunity includes a wide array of oversight functions the County is looking for a strong governmental finance and auditing leader and is prepared to train the right candidate in specialized areas like election administration. The successful candidate will be at the forefront of shaping the financial future of the states largest and most populous county. As a trusted advisor to the County Administrator and Board of Commissioners the Finance Director provides strategic direction and oversight of the Countys fiscal operations ensuring sound financial management transparency and innovation in the stewardship of public resources. Leading a capable team of 13 the Finance Director safeguards compliance with state financial statutes oversees audit readiness and the preparation of the ACFR and other financial reports develops and monitors the County budget and administers local elections fairly accessibly and with the utmost public trust. This is a public-facing position that will at times be expected to address local media and the community at large regarding elections and finance-related matters.

This position will receive an annual salary of $116302 $135677 DOE/DOQ PLUS comprehensive benefits package.
