Job Description
In this role you will partner with cross-functional teams such as electrical controls and embedded FW engineers to realize mechatronic system include:Mechanical design (3D and 2D drawings)Mechanism design and integrationElectrical component integration (sensors electronics wiring and harnesses)Prototype evaluate develop and harden designsClose collaboration with cross-functional teams
- BS in mechanical engineering or similar field
- 5 years of hands-on mechanism and mechatronic product design experience
- Experience selecting and integrating electronics sensors and mechanisms in challenging packaging environments
- Strong mechanical engineering analytical skills
- Experience selecting materials and manufacturing processes based on engineering requirements
- Experience working in technical project groups in a professional environment
- Proficiency in 3D CAD and creating 2D drawings
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including emails preparing slide presentations and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teams
- Detail orientated and capable of handling multiple assignments at once
- MS or PhD in mechanical engineering or similar field
- Fluent in Siemens NX including surfacing tools
- Experience working through entire product cycle including shipping product experience
- Experience leading teams through product development cycle from concept development to production bring up
