Job Description
You will design and oversee critical CNC processes and equipment used to produce our this highly visible role youll collaborate closely with Product Design Industrial Design Manufacturing Design and global responsibilities include ensuring optimal design for CNC manufacturing such as milling turning and multi-axis machining. Youll utilize data hands-on development and testing to guide decisions regarding equipment selection tooling cutting strategies CAM software and more. At Apples scale your contributions will have substantial global impacts.
- 3 years hands-on CNC machining experience (ability to operate machines)
- Experience with machining cutting-tool selection and fixture design
- Proficiency with CAD / CAM
- Ability to design manufacturing processes from concept to implementation and provide feedback to designers
- BS MS or PhD in Mechanical Manufacturing Industrial Engineering or related field
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25%)
- High Volume Manufacturing experience particularly with high-cosmetic parts
- Siemens NX CAD/CAM
- CNC Machine Maintenance and repair
- Experience in statistical analysis and process control
- FEA Project experience
- Programming experience in Python C/C JavaScript or similar languages
- Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning applications in manufacturing
