The Warehouse Supervisor plans and directs Pleasant Prairie warehouse personnel working in receiving stock placing picking packing and shipping to meet plant and company objectives in quality service and cost. Completes projects as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Supervisor will:

  • Direct the warehouse operations to meet production requirements and quality standards in the most cost-effective manner evidenced by on-time shipping 24-48 put away standards and continuous process improvements.
  • Administer established policies procedures by ensuring items in the Pleasant Prairie Handbook for Hourly Shop Employees are administered in a consistent fashion and with the intent set forth in the Agreement.
  • Maintain an accurate count and physical control of the inventory at the Pleasant Prairie plant.
  • Maintain 6S standards in the warehouse and workstations in compliance with established safety rules lean practices and OSHA requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years warehouse experience with experience leading and supervising staff preferred.
  • OSHA 10-hour Training Course

Characteristics and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills internally and externally.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity professionalism and confidentiality.

Essential Physical Abilities:

  • Ability to sit or stand at a computer for 40% of the day.
  • Ability to move around the production floor and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform sustained physical effort handling moving loading and unloading components in/on/off pallets containers crates etc.
  • Ability to work in awkward and strained work positions that require physical agility.
  • Requires the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
