About the Role
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will use your technical and problem solving skills to support the operations maintenance team. You will perform preventative maintenance tasks repairing maintaining material handling equipment and supporting base-building systems. You will have the opportunity to install maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution addition to developing your skills you will be part of a dynamic team of technicians and be expected to mentor junior technicians to grow in their roles.

Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
At all times promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and policies
Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation using CMMS/APM and execute spare part changes when needed
Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to material handling equipment to includes belts motors photo-eyes relays and related systems
At all times maintain a positive working relationship with all RME and operation team members
Move up to 49lbs stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 10 hours with or without reasonable accommodation
- 1 years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area including weekends nights and/or holidays
- 1 years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience
- 1 years of repairing material handling equipment (MHE) automated conveyor systems or related mechanical/controls equipment experience
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- 1 years of experience conducting quality predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- 1 years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading knowledge
- Able to troubleshoot basic input and output function of building operations
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Willingness to learn and grow within Amazon RME
- Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
- 1 years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field
- 1 of experience working with PLC based controls systems
- 1 year of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles
- Experience with robotic operation and maintenance

The base pay for this position ranges from $56680/year in our lowest geographic market up to $76024/year in our highest geographic market.
