Description
Title: KVCC Emergency Medical Services Clinical Coordinator
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: MEA Admin (Pending Classification)
Responsibilities:
The clinical coordinator is responsible for the Advanced EMT and Paramedic student Clinical/Field education program. The clinical coordinator will liaison with the lead instructor EMS agencies hospitals and other clinical sites to place students in clinical and field rotations. The clinical coordinator will monitor compliance with the requirements of students and manage the clinical contract process. The clinical coordinator will verify that students are entering documentation appropriately when needed.
The clinical coordinator must:
- Coordinate clinical education for the Advanced EMT and Paramedic program
- Ensure documentation of the evaluation and progression of clinical performance
- Ensure orientation to the programs requirements of the personnel who supervise or instruct students at clinical and capstone field internship sites
- Coordinate the assignment of students to clinical and field internship sites
- Provide/Assist with instruction where appropriate
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have documented experience in emergency medical services
- Possess knowledge of the curriculum
- Possess knowledge about the programs evaluation of student learning and performance
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Platinum software
- Maine EMS AEMT License or equivalent
- Maine EMS Instructor Coordinator License
