You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Assistant Department Administrator (ADA) is responsible for all payroll and jointly responsible for HR in the department and its affiliated addition the ADA will lead the department in tracking personnel and financial metrics related to our students and faculty time in the department. The ADA will work closely with the rest of the administrative staff to provide an overview of the interconnected payroll HR research financial purchasing and outreach activities in the unit. The administrative staff of the Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering is a small collaborative group supporting each other and working together to achieve the goals of the department. We support the faculty students and staff in their mission to advance industrial and systems engineering knowledge excel in inclusive education and inspire others to make a meaningful difference in their world.
Executes all department payroll on bi-weekly schedule. Is primary HR contact for benefits questions and for payroll/HR support of affiliated research centers.
Plans implements executes and evaluates existing strategies and objectives for a program and makes recommendations to unit leadership for program or function enhancement
Identifies workflow needs contributes to the development of strategic and operational solutions allocates resources and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures
Schedules logistics and secures resources for program activities across multiple work units to ensure optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies procedures and specifications
Leads the development and preparation of periodic reports and financial statements and records progress status or other special reports for leadership or external agencies
May assist in the development and monitoring of the unit or program budget and approve unit expenditures

The expected salary for this position is $66000 (12-month) for highly experienced candidates. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.

Applicants will improve their candidacy by demonstrating strong oral and written communication attention to detail and accuracy in work.A successful candidate will need to be self-motivated enthusiastic team-oriented and open to guidance and change. Attention to detail is crucial in this role. The chosen candidate will work with faculty staff and students in the critical functions of HR Payroll/Benefits and Finance/Accounting collaborating with the College of Engineering Deans office to advance department goals.
