Location: Springfield Illinois United States
Responsibilities:
- Performing CT scans of the abdomen pelvis chest head neck and spine including those with and without contrast.
- Utilizing advanced image processing techniques such as 3D rendering MPR and ROI measurement.
- Administering and preparing contrast media.
- Maintaining radiation safety protocols.
- Starting peripheral IVs and performing venipuncture.
- Performing coronary CTA.
- Assisting with patient preparation and post-procedure care.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Responding to on-call requests and working weekends and holidays as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of experience as a CT Technologist in an acute care setting.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
- ARRT-CT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Computed Tomography) certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Active Illinois state license or in the application process with an estimated completion date.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in adult acute care adult outpatient ICU emergency department and Level I trauma settings.
- Experience with a variety of CT scan types (e.g. vascular chest musculoskeletal trauma).
Special Considerations:
- On-call and weekend/holiday rotation required.
- No floating to other departments.
- Schedule requests should be discussed with the manager.
- Guaranteed hours with a limit on client call-offs (up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment).
- Time off requests should be discussed with the manager.
- Experience in a Level I trauma center and Magnet hospital preferred.
Scheduling:
- Three 12-hour day shifts (10:00 AM - 10:30 PM).
- Weekend and holiday rotation per department needs.
- Schedule flexibility may be discussed with the manager.
