Job Title: Cyber Security Platforms DevOps/SRE Engineer
Location: Montreal Canada (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months
Rate: $70-75/hr on W2
Core Responsibilities:
- As an experienced Automation Engineer you will work with a global team to analyze design plan and deploy automation for toil reduction/elimination.
- Transform existing systems into Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Configuration as Code (CaC) and Monitoring as Code (MaC) using enterprise solutions and best practices.
- Implement anomaly and fault detection to improve service stability security and overall service levels.
- Reimagine and build the next-generation secure and mission-critical email infrastructure for a global financial organization.
- Collaborate with a diverse global team.
- Provide architecture assurance on messaging initiatives.
- Maintain a secure environment by implementing risk mitigation controls.
- Offer consultancy services to IT Security teams.
- Develop automated metrics reporting capabilities.
- Maintain documentation including publishing fixes in a centralized knowledge base.
Qualifications and Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Unix Networking
- Familiarity with SDLC concepts and toolsets (Git Jenkins ALM)
- Knowledge of Agile principles and DevOps practices
- Intermediate or above in:
- Automation (Ansible)
- GNU/Linux OS and GNU tools
- Infrastructure protocols: DNS LDAP NTP SNMP SMTP
- SMTP email protocols and standards: SMTP DMARC DKIM SPF
- Python and Shell scripting (programmer mindset)
- Familiarity with email security techniques (anti-malware anti-spam)
Soft Skills:
- Self-learner
- Strong communication
- Effective team player
Preferred Professional Experience:
- Bachelors degree in management information systems Information Technology or equivalent work experience
- 8 years with RHEL/Linux systems
- 5 years scripting with Python and/or Bash
- 3 years automating with Ansible
- Experience with SDLC tools: Git Jira ALM Jenkins
- Strong Linux system administration experience
- Working knowledge of Networking DNS LDAP SSL/TLS
- Experience with large-scale SMTP email gateway deployment
- Familiarity with email hygiene and authentication frameworks: DMARC DKIM SPF
- Automation using Ansible

Additional Details:
- On-call rotation: Once every 6 weeks
