Job Description

Position Summary Bancroft School seeks an Upper School English teacher for a long-term/seven-week position starting in late August 2025. Developing students skills as critical thinkers analytical and creative writers positive contributors and collaborators is central to this role.Essential Responsibilities

Teach 4 sections of 10th-grade English
Consistent and regular communication with students parents and advisors

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in English or Education
Three to five years of teaching experience preferred
Experience in and enthusiasm for implementing inquiry-based learning
Proven ability to differentiate instruction
A commitment to teaching the writing process
Experience with online collaborative learning software

An understanding of and love for Upper School students
