Job Description

Psychiatrist Remote or On-Site Join a Team That Cares for You as Much as You Care for Others



Location: Remote or in-person in Kansas (Hays Colby Norton Phillipsburg Goodland Osborne)

Pay: Competitive; Based on experience

Job Type: Full-time; in-person or remote; (would be open to part-time discussion)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm (on-call rotation)

What Youll Do:


As a Psychiatrist at HPMHC youll play a vital role in delivering compassionate evidence-based care to individuals across the lifespanfrom children to older adults. Youll be part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team focused on holistic treatment and long-term wellness.

  • Provide direct psychiatric evaluation diagnosis and treatment for assigned patients including medication management and treatment planning
  • Conduct both routine and crisis care appointmentseither in person at one of our regional offices or remotely via secure telehealth platforms
  • Collaborate with therapists case managers nurses and administrative staff to ensure coordinated wraparound care
  • Offer clinical direction and consultation to support staff on complex cases
  • Participate in care team meetings quality improvement initiatives and program planning discussions
  • Engage in scheduled travel to our branch offices (if applicable) to support rural community care
  • Rotate on-call coverage (shared with other psychiatry staff) to provide continuity of care after hours
  • Contribute to the enhancement of mental health services in our region by helping to shape policies processes and innovations in care delivery

Requirements
  • Must be a licensed MD or DO in the State of Kansas (or eligible for Kansas licensure)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Valid DEA license (or ability to obtain)
  • Proficient with electronic health records and basic office/telehealth technology
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and occasional travel to regional offices (if on-site)

Preferred:

  • Experience with child adolescent and adult populations in a community mental health setting is a plus
  • Strong collaboration communication and team-based care skills
  • Commitment to holistic patient-centered treatment approaches
