Job Details
ChristianaCare Primary Care at Middletown West is looking for a Medical Assistant.
As a medical assistant you will be responsible for assisting providers in the examination and treatment of patients with on-site and virtual appointments. You will be expected to deliver quality patient care and perform other clinical and clerical duties within the practice as assigned.
Work Schedule:
This full time Medical Assistant positions days and hours are as follows:
Monday through Friday 8am 4:30p
One late night per week until 7pm
Duties / Responsibilities:
As a medical assistant you will greet and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice preparing them for virtual visits performing point of care testing injections medication administration and EKGs assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment completing patient-specific paperwork ensuring EMR is up-to-date handling patient call backs sterilizing medical equipment handling prior authorizations referrals and medical refills scheduling tests procedures and surgeries performing quality control on POCT equipment providing documentation assistance performing clerical duties troubleshooting patient issues with video visits and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCares Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
