Job Description

Convergentz a division of Hunton Group has a new and exciting opportunity to join our organization as a Security Low Voltage Construction Sales Account Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying bidding and securing projects involving security systems and low voltage technologies in new construction or renovation projects. The individual will interpret construction plans and specifications liaise with general contractors engineers and end-users and provide detailed proposals that meet security and communication infrastructure requirements. This position involves both office and field work. The Salesperson will be expected to travel to construction sites meet with clients and work collaboratively with project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review construction plans and specifications to identify project opportunities for security and low voltage systems.
  • Prepare and submit detailed competitive proposals and bids based on project scope.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors architects engineers and decision-makers.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct site visits to assess conditions and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate system design and scope of work.
  • Follow up on bids and negotiate contracts to secure profitable business.
  • Track project progress and communicate updates with stakeholders.
  • Stay current on industry trends products codes and standards related to security and low voltage systems.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in sales or estimating for security/low voltage systems or related industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents including blueprints specifications and bid packages.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with security systems (CCTV access control intrusion detection) and low voltage cabling.
  • Proficiency with estimating software Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree or certification in electronics construction management or related field.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Bluebeam or construction management platforms.
  • NICET BICSI RCDD or similar industry certifications.
