NetImpact Strategies is seeking an experienced Senior Network Administrator to manage and maintain the agencys enterprise network infrastructure. You will oversee deployment configuration and support of Cisco routers switches Palo Alto firewalls and cloud networking systems to ensure optimal performance security and this key role you will mentor junior staff lead high-impact network initiatives and deliver innovative solutions aligned with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation configuration and maintenance of Cisco network devices (routers switches) and Palo Alto firewalls
- Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure high availability and efficient resource usage
- Diagnose and resolve complex network issues including connectivity security and performance bottlenecks
- Apply patches updates and security configurations to network devices to maintain a secure environment
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations procedures and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with systems and applications
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network administrators and IT staff
- Architect network infrastructure including secure baseline configurations implementation plans and service deployments
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for Layer 2/3 wireless VoIP data center and SDN Research emerging network technologies and assess their applicability and value to the organization
- Perform hardware installations and configuration support in on-prem data center environments
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field
- CCIE certification or at least 10 years of experience in LAN/WAN wireless VoIP data center SDN administration engineering and architecture
- Proven expertise with Cisco routers switches firewalls and network protocols (e.g. BGP OSPF VLANs)
- Experience managing Palo Alto firewall configurations and security policies
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex network security connectivity and performance issues
- Strong documentation and analytical skills with ability to architect and implement enterprise solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud networking (AWS Azure) and hybrid architecture
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g. SolarWinds Cisco DNA Center)
- Certifications such as CCNP or cloudrelated network certifications
- Proven history of mentoring staff and leading complex network initiatives
