The mid-level practitioner in the wound clinic plays a critical role in the independent management of both acute and chronic wound cases. This provider is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments formulating and implementing evidence-based treatment plans and performing advanced wound care procedures such as debridement dressing selection and infection management. The role requires strong clinical judgement and the ability to work autonomously while also collaborating with multidisciplinary teams as needed. The practitioner will monitor patient progress adjust care plans accordingly and ensure continuity of care through documentations and follow-up.
The wound center will soon be relocating to the hospital allowing for expanded services and improved patient care. As part of this transition the center will incorporate hyperbaric oxygen therapy to further support complex wound addition to outpatient responsibilities the practitioner will rotate frequently within the hospital to conduct wound consultations and provide follow-up care ensuring a seamless continuum of wound management.

Nurse Practitioner: Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP ANP ACNP or GNP.
Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
