Valid Massachusetts Reading Specialist certificationDemonstrated understanding of the science of readingExperience supporting teachers with literacy programs and instructional strategiesComfortable using a coaching model to foster teacher growthStrong instructional skills across the five components of readingEffective communicator with students families and colleaguesPassion for working with small groups struggling readers and students with IEPsSkilled in analyzing and using data to plan instruction and support peersCollaborative mindset with experience working on school and district teamsOrton-Gillingham certification (or willingness to obtain)Proven ability to lead Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) focused on literacyExperience planning and delivering high-impact professional developmentAbility to facilitate data-driven instructional conversations and model best practices
