We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive Supplier Quality Manager (Europe) (d/f/m) at our site in Hemer or Dsseldorf to establish and maintain a robust quality ecosystem across our European supplier base. This role requires a strategic mindset to drive supplier quality improvements mitigate risks and ensure compliance with LIXIL standards and processes. The ideal candidate will have strong cross-functional collaboration skills and a passion for innovation in quality management.
Key responsibilities and main challenges:
- Implement advanced supplier quality control processes to enhance supplier performance and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Develop preventive risk mitigation processes using APQP methodologies and predictive analytics.
- Support key suppliers in establishing quality firewalls through periodic training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist the sourcing team in supplier selection and evaluation through audits and performance monitoring.
- Conduct supplier audits based on VDA6.1 and VDA6.3.
- Collaborate with the regional quality team on new product development quality focusing on PPAP/ISIR verification.
- Analyze supplier quality issues and drive corrective actions using 8D 5-Why and APDCA methodologies.
- Continuously monitor and improve supplier quality performance.
- Validate key supplier laboratories according to specifications and standards.
- Lead competency development and internal training for the European SQM team.
Your profile:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Technology or Engineering.
- Certified VDA6.1/IATF16949 and VDA6.3 Auditor.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in quality management leadership within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the electronics or automotive industry is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and application of AIAG/VDA Core Tools (e.g. APQP FMEA SPC and MSA).
- Strong problem-solving skills with expertise in methodologies such as 5W1H and 8D.
- A proactive and open-minded team player with excellent communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in English and German (written and spoken).
Willingness to travel within Germany and across Europe (approximately 40%).
