DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collect analyze and disseminate assessment data in all subject areas
Interpret reading assessments to plan for and choose appropriate forms of interventions to help remediate the difficulties
Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments to monitor the progress of students
Work with grade-level teachers to develop strategies to maximize student performance and progress
Develop daily schedules for students making knowledge accessible to all students
Design and utilize lesson plans using innovative board technology
Develop students cognitive capacity and respect for learning
Fostering students self-esteem motivation and sense of civic responsibility
Encourage and implement cooperative learning and critical thinking into lessons
Incorporate creativity and hands-on learning experiences into teaching lessons and special events
Meet regular and predictable attendance requirements
Plan for and guide the learning process to help students achieve program objectives
Implement useful diagnostic and progress assessment measures
Take part in Data Team Meetings
Selects and uses effective instructional methods and learning materials as provided by Roosevelt Childrens Academy
Establish a cooperative relationship with all assigned students
Maintains open lines of communication with parents/guardians
Engages in professional growth activities through an ongoing program of job-related knowledge and skill development
Work collaboratively to achieve the overall purpose of the Schools Mission and Vision
Communicate positively and constructively which is conducive to motivating children toward continuous improvement
Foster and maintain a sense of trust and rapport with their peers
Responsible for the development of yearly personal and program goals
Willing to attend necessary training
Maintain required records and reports to document growth and development throughout the year and share with the staff
Assist the Principal on additional projects as requested including any other activities that will be helpful for the success of the School.
Report to the Building Leader immediately any areas of concern
Additional responsibilities as assigned by the administration.
