Job Description

MMR Cost Controls Engineer

Summary:

The cost control engineer assists the project controls manager in managing all aspects of a project including the organization planning scheduling subcontractor scheduling and day-to-day issues in a manner that results in completion of a project on time on budget and a quality that meets or exceeds the customers expectations. By ensuring proper company/customer procedures are followed and established budgets and schedules are adhered to.

Job Description:

MMR is seeking Cost Engineer candidates with at least 3 years of electrical construction experience. The responsibilities would include but not limited to the following:

  • The cost engineer will assist the project controls team in managing timekeeping purchasing and subcontracts.
  • This includes but not limited to time keeping management material quotations material and subcontractor invoicing reviews budget updates client billing a manner that results in completion of a project on time on budget and a quality that meets or exceeds the customers expectations.
  • As required interact with key members of the project team and client organization to set up prepare and maintain weekly/monthly project and program reports including cost forecasting cash flow forecasting etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Accounting Business Management Construction Management Industrial Engineering or related field; or an equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 3 years of work experience in industrial construction
  • Ability to work independently prioritize organize problem solve and exercise good judgement with minimal supervision
  • Ability to coordinate a variety of projects simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and creativity
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are required
  • Able to work effectively under time pressure and/or deadline
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible varying hours including evenings and weekends as needed
  • Regular and reliable attendance at work
