Job Description
1. Teach the approved Summit School District curriculum based on lesson plansprovided by the regular classroom teacher.
2. Perform all responsibilities of the regular class room teachers for studentsin the absence of the regular teacher.
3. Implement the regular teachers assigned responsibilities plans andschedule.
4. Assess student work when appropriate and time permits.
5. Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learningand maximizes learning time.
6. Prepare a summary report of work completed and the days events for theregular teacher.
7. Establish and demonstrate positive human relations with students parentsother staff members and the community.
8. Ensure the accuracy completeness confidentiality and security of allstudent information.
9. Comply with District and School policies and procedures including meetingwith assigned students at scheduled location and time.
10. Demonstrates the commitment to build and maintain a safe fair andrespectful working and learning environment that honors the cultural diversityof students and staff.
11. Utilize the Substitute Absence Management/SAM system toaccept/decline/manage his/her work and schedule in the capacity of a substituteteacher.

13. Perform other duties as assigned.
