Job Summary:
This role is for a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital setting. The Surgical Technologist will provide surgical support during a variety of procedures including orthopedics (total joints) robotic surgery (DaVinci) and neurosurgery (craniotomy spinal surgery). The position requires a minimum of two years of experience and on-call availability including weekends.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
- Maintaining a sterile surgical field.
- Monitoring patient vital signs during surgery.
- Assisting with patient positioning and transfer.
- Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintaining accurate records of surgical procedures.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum two years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Experience with orthopedic (total joints) robotic (DaVinci) and neurosurgical (craniotomy spinal surgery) procedures.
- Current BLS certification.
- NCCT or NBSTSA certification preferred.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.
- Experience with a variety of surgical specialties.
Special Considerations:
- On-call responsibilities including weekends.
- Variable 12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM).
- No floating to other units.
- No block scheduling accommodations.
- Guaranteed 60 hours per two weeks with the possibility of one 12-hour shift cancellation per two-week period.
- Time off approved on an individual basis with a limit of one request per 13-week assignment.
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.
Scheduling:
- Variable 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM).
- On-call responsibilities including weekends.
