Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Parts Counter Person with a GM wholesale background to join our award-winning dealership team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with their automotive needs. Though our team will train the ideal candidate will already have a passion for the automotive industry and possess strong organizational and communication skills. As a Parts Counter Person you will be the first point of contact for customers ensuring they receive the best possible experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding automotive products and services.
- Process sales transactions accurately using a cash register and maintain an organized cash drawer.
- Manage inventory control by tracking stock levels placing orders and ensuring shelves are well-stocked.
- Provide knowledgeable assistance in automotive service and repair options to customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized counter area to promote a professional environment.
- Utilize retail math skills to assist in pricing discounts and sales calculations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- GM wholesale experience.
- Bilingual abilities strongly preferred for effective communication with diverse customers.
- Strong sales skills to promote products and services effectively.
- Proficiency in retail math for accurate transaction processing and inventory management.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and automotive service practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory counts.
- Experience with cash registers or point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory control processes within an automotive context is beneficial.
