Job Description
The Installation Maintenance & Repair Worker performs various maintenance repair and installation services as directed within Facilities Management. Most of these service activities will be conducted in residential and dining facilities. Services will encompass all trades including but not limited to electrical HVAC plumbing carpentry painting flooring roofing moving etc. This position will also assist with property inspections and report compilation.
Required Qualifications
High school education and specialized training with significant related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience indicating proficiency in the preceding knowledge and abilities.
Experience in general maintenance to include: painting wall repair carpentry flooring tile trim etc. General knowledge of HVAC plumbing and electrical. Ability to read understand and abide by all safety policies and procedures and follow equipment and system manuals. Ability to provide excellent customer service to students faculty and staff. Experience working in a commercial or residential environment in areas including painting wall repair carpentry flooring tile trim etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Maintenance experience in a residential university or multi-residential community setting. Experience working in a Dining or food service facilities environment. Extensive experience in the fields of Plumbing Electrical or HVAC. Journeyman level license in Plumbing Electrical or HVAC.
