The Senior Librarian position will:
Education and/or Experience:
Equivalent to a Bachelors degree in the Social Sciences or a related field a Masters of Library Science Degree and two or more years of professional librarian or museum experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of professional library or museum work and different service areas; use of various library tools; library or literacy materials; the principles of supervision; automation and computers relevant to operations of a library or museum; ability to develop implement and evaluate programs; catalog and classify materials; conduct research and collect information regarding a variety of subjects and use print and electronic reference tools; use computer software application programs and online resources; organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers supervisors patrons and community representatives.
Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class C or Class 3 California drivers license.APPLICATION PROCESS
