Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving and Discharging:Accepting edible oils into storage tanks from tankers pipelines or other sources and dispensing oils for further processing or distribution.
- Tank Management:Monitoring tank levels temperatures and pressures to ensure optimal storage conditions and prevent overfilling or spills.
- Equipment Operation:Operating pumps valves and other equipment to transfer oils between tanks and to loading/unloading facilities.
- Quality Control:Taking oil samples for laboratory analysis to verify product quality and ensure compliance with standards.
- Safety and Environmental Compliance:Adhering to all safety procedures and environmental regulations related to handling edible oils including spill prevention and response.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of oil transfers tank levels equipment maintenance and any incidents.
- Communication:Communicating with other team members supervisors and other departments regarding oil transfers inventory and any operational issues.
- Maintenance and Inspections:Conducting routine inspections of tanks pipelines pumps and other equipment reporting any issues or needed repairs.
- Housekeeping:Maintaining a clean and organized work environment within the tank farm.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills:Knowledge of tank farm operations equipment and procedures; ability to operate and maintain pumps valves and other equipment; understanding of safety and environmental regulations.
- Analytical Skills:Ability to monitor tank levels identify potential issues and troubleshoot problems.
- Communication Skills:Ability to communicate effectively with team members supervisors and other departments.
- Physical Stamina:Ability to perform physical tasks associated with tank farm operations such as climbing ladders and lifting hoses.
- Attention to Detail:Ability to maintain accurate records follow procedures and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
