Overview
Are you looking to break into the tech or renewable energy space and want real-world experience that makes a difference PosiGen a leading provider of sustainable solar solutions is hiring a Temporary IT Specialist for a 3-month paid contract position. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career to gain valuable hands-on experience in IT operations while supporting a mission-driven company working toward energy equity.
In this role youll work closely with our Technology & IT team supporting both everyday operations and special projects that help power our clean energy mission. If youre tech-savvy organized and eager to grow your skills wed love to hear from you.
What Youll Do
Respond to IT helpdesk tickets and troubleshoot hardware/software issues
Support device provisioning setup and basic maintenance
Assist with printer and other hardware installation as needed
Help with data entry reporting and documentation
Streamline internal IT operations including managing inventory and logistics
Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaborations
Learn industry tools systems and processes
Take on additional tasks as assigned by the Technology team
What Were Looking For
Enrolled in or completed a degree or certification in IT Computer Science Technology or a related field
IT/Helpdesk certifications are a strong plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
Strong problem-solving communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and with a team
Eagerness to learn and a proactive can-do attitude
This is an on-site temporary position based in Shelton CT lasting up to 3 months. The role pays up to $18/hour is not eligible for benefits.

Physical Demands
The physical requirements outlined are essential for performing the core duties of this role.
- Primary responsibilities involve regular speaking listening standing walking using hands to handle or feel objects and reaching with arms.
- Occasionally the role may require sitting climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching or crawling.
- Employees must be able to frequently lift and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.
- Vision requirements include the ability to focus at close and long distances distinguish colors maintain peripheral awareness perceive depth and make precise focus adjustments.
