The Opportunity
- Join the City of Coppells National Gold Medal Award Winning team as a Head Lifeguard in the Community Experiences-CORE Department! This year-round role supports the CORE Manager Aquatics Supervisor and Aquatics Coordinator in ensuring the safety and excellence of our facility.
As a Head Lifeguard you will lead by example providing leadership and coaching to our team of lifeguards while effectively recognizing and responding to emergencies. Your dedication to delivering an excellent customer experience will shine as you interact with children and adults resolve complaints or conflicts and enforce facility safety rules.
You will also assist with the maintenance of pool filtration systems and the testing of water samples. Key responsibilities include supporting day-to-day facility operations and maintenance proactive safety and emergency response staff support and training and various administrative duties. Schedule Commitment
Works a flexible part-time schedule including days weekends holidays and nights.
Pay Plan
This opportunity is year-round non-benefitted non-exempt and pays $18.50 an hour. Eligibility
Experience
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 2 years of aquatics-related experience required.
- 1 year of swim lesson experience is preferred.
- Ellis & Associates lifeguard certification is required and provided on-site. Must be able to complete the following prerequisites to obtain an Ellis & Associates Lifeguard license:
- 200-yard swim
- Retrieve a 10 lb. brick from the bottom of the 12 ft. pool (feet first)
- Tread water for 2 minutes with no hands
- CPO or AFO preferred
- Knowledge of Facility Operations and Maintenance.
- Leadership and Team Management skills.
- Safety and Emergency Response skills.
- Customer Service and Conflict Resolution skills.
- Proficiency in handling a variety of administrative tasks such as answering telephone calls responding to customer questions and assisting with event setup.
