Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Wrocaw

We are looking for a SQA in Wroclaw Poland with focus on securing that Quality will be Right from Start in Product Projects and Product Changes.

About The Job

You will plan and execute actions for Suppliers qualification suppliers performance management prevention activities development and continuous improvement. You will support Product Management and Development for part approval with suppliers process knowledge and input to and feedback from suppliers as well as new product introductions and product changes. You will be responsible for securing that Quality tools and methods are adopted by Suppliers to prevent Quality issues and mitigate Quality risks. You will cooperate with functions in Sourcing and Product Management and Development and with other departments in Supply Chain in Tumba and other DeLaval sites to secure that the Production organization will receive high quality and robust designs and efficient control plans will be in place at external suppliers from Start of Production.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Quality issues are prevented already in the product development phases with proper application of Quality tools and methods in the different development process variants like new projects PCAs depending on scope and complexity of specific initiatives.
  • Establish plans to ensure Supplier readiness to SOP with focus on Prevention PFMEA Control Plan MSA Flow Chart SPC PDCA.
  • Investigate Supplier Quality issues analyze data be an expert and role model in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Drive a Lessons learned mindset and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
  • Execute Process audits and Follow-up based on Projects audit plan or audit requests

Qualifications And Experience

To be successful in this role we see that you have:

  • Engineering degree MSc or BSc or equivalent.
  • Deep knowledge of Quality methods and tools (D/PFMEA PCP 8D Ishikawa 5Why A3 CAPA etc.)
  • Expertise of components manufacturing processes
  • Good knowledge of statistical analysis methodology and tools
  • Engineering analysis skills interest in understanding technical details of failure modes
  • Proven relevant experience in Quality Engineer or Supplier Quality roles
  • Experience from technical roles in Manufacturing companies
  • Good computer skills (Excel Word Power Point)
  • Fluent in English spoken and written
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt is a plus

You have good communication skills verbal and written to convey and receive messages to and from different stakeholders. You possess a high degree of accuracy initiative and independence taking responsibility to stand for Supplier Quality in X-functional meetings and making decisions. You enjoy working as part of a team in an international environment questioning the status quo bringing an analytical and structured approach to investigating failure modes and quality risks and defining mitigating actions. With a collaborative mindset and problem solving abilities you contribute to secure Quality while driving progress within specified timelines.
