About You and The Role
The Consumer Experience team at Zipline is responsible for building the core digital experiences that connect our customers to the worlds first autonomous drone delivery network. From placing an order to watching it arrive in real time our team is shaping how people interact with Zipline and redefining what convenience looks like for food retail and healthcare delivery.
Were looking for a seasoned product-minded software engineer to help scale Ziplines consumer-facing mobile and web applications. Youll play a key role in shaping the technical direction of our mobile stack with a strong focus on quality performance and delightful user experience. Youll collaborate closely with engineering and cross-functional partners to imagine build and iterate on end-to-end features that directly impact Zipline customers every day.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex problems at the intersection of mobile development systems design and product innovation and help define what instant logistics looks like at global scale
What Youll Do
- Take technical ownership of critical features across Ziplines consumer mobile and web apps from design through deployment and iteration
- Shape the architecture and evolution of our React Native mobile codebase to support scalability maintainability and performance
Drive initiatives to improve app quality including integration testing performance monitoring and build pipeline automation - Collaborate cross-functionally to build user-facing features that are fast elegant and grounded in a strong understanding of customer needs
- Identify opportunities to use native modules or platform APIs to extend our React Native apps capabilities and lead their development when needed
- Influence our long-term mobile technical roadmap and contribute to team-wide engineering best practices
- Support and mentor teammates through thoughtful code reviews architectural guidance and shared technical decision-making
What Youll Bring
- 6 years experience developing high-quality mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript
- Solid understanding of mobile application architecture performance optimization and testing best practices
- Experience shipping user-facing features in collaboration with product design and engineering teams
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership influence roadmap decisions and mentor other engineers
- A product mindset and passion for crafting intuitive delightful customer experiences
- Excellent communication skills and a track record of owning problems end-to-end
What Else You Need to Know
The starting cash range for this role is $170000 - $210000. Please note that this is a target starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors including a specific candidates experience qualifications skills working location and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; overtime pay; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
