As a rapidly expanding business we have an opportunity for talented self-directed individuals to join our team and help us continue to grow and serve our customers:We are hiring a Sheetmetal Fabricator for our growing 70000 square-foot facility in Cardington Ohio. This is a full-time first shift position with benefits.
You will be tasked with running machines used to fabricate and manufacture high quality stainless steel electrical enclosures used in industrial applications.

The Sheetmetal Fabricator is responsible for duties related to manufacturing industrial grade stainless steel electrical enclosures using grinding finishing spot welding and stud welding processes and equipment to produce products to meet certification requirements and product specifications in a timely and accurate manner.
Essential Duties:
- Achieving a grained finish on stainless steel enclosures and components using belt stroke sanders handheld grinding and finishing tools.
- Applying weld studs using capacitor discharge and drawn arc weld processes
- Applying parts to enclosures and related products using resistance welding processes and equipment
- Start machine and observes operation to assure machine/s are running properly.
- Inspect products for visual conformance to specifications and removes defects or defective pieces.
- Interpret and execute drawing routers boms and verbal and written instructions to achieve quality standards.
- Internal finishing is accomplished via abrasive blasting and/or grinding.
- Work from samples verbal and/or written instructions and according to standard procedures.
- Use hand tools measuring devices and related equipment.
- Detect and report faulty equipment defective material improper operations and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
- Move materials skids and equipment safely using the proper equipment as needed.
- Support and participate in Lean/5S and process improvement initiatives as needed.
- Maintain compliance with all Marmon IEI Environmental Health and Safety policies.
- Support activities within compliance to ISO Quality System procedures.
- Work as a team with other leads supervisors managers and Marmon IEI employees.
- Responsible for all other projects and tasks as assigned.

- Confidently run primary operations with little to no supervision.
Knowledge and Skills Preferred:
- Ability to read and write clearly.
- Ability to read job specifications.
- Ability to organize work efficiently.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of employees.
- Must be able to perform basic arithmetic statistics and other specific mathematical applications.
- Basic knowledge of machines and tools including the designs uses and basic maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of principles and processes for providing customers with specific requirements and specifications.
- Must be able to multi-task follow priorities given and have strong troubleshooting techniques.
- Self-starter; ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Strong housekeeping practices and organizational skills desired.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibilities in machine operating is a plus.
Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Ability to work long hours while standing and operating machinery.
- Ability to move objects and materials of at least 50lbs.
