Job Description
Welder - Kalamazoo MI
1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm $20/hour Based On Experience
Job Duties:
- Perform MIG TIG and stick welding on carbon steel stainless steel and aluminum
- Interpret blueprints technical drawings and welding symbols accurately
- Cut fit and assemble fabricated metal parts using saws torches grinders and other tools
- Assist press/laser operators with various shop tasks
- Conduct in-process quality checks to ensure dimensional accuracy and weld integrity
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Adhere to company safety standards and MIOSHA guidelines
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project specifications and timeline
Requirements:
- Some experience in metal fabrication and welding
- Proficient in MIG TIG and stick welding techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Experience with fabrication tools and shop equipment
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Welding certification a plus but not required
- Ability to lift and or move up to 25lbs. throughout the entire shift
- Ability to stand walk bend and stoop
- Ability to use hands to finger handle and feel
- Specific vision abilities required for various jobs include close vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
- Ability to understand and communicate (talk-read-hear) work instructions
