Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity

The Human Health Research Services Platform is hosted by the Liggins Institute and provides a comprehensive range of services to support human health research across the University of Auckland including data services statistical support health economics research coordination follow-up research coordination digital support and clinic space and nursing support.

The Human Health Research Coordinator (HHRC) is responsible for effectively coordinating human health research studies collaborating closely with PIs research nurses midwives and other research staff. The HHRC will ensure the delivery of project objectives by coordinating all aspects of clinical research activity monitoring timelines regulatory compliance and reporting to the Team Lead Human Health Research Coordinator. The HHRC will also provide research support assisting with research methods protocols data acquisition report generation participant engagement and other tasks related to the research.

This is a part time (18.75 hours per week) 6 month fixed term position. 
This role offers some flexibility across the week with hours typically arranged to align with participant availability including late afternoons or early evenings.

The remuneration range for this role is between $62400 - $77800 (pro rata for part time hours) depending on skills and experience.

You will bring experience coordinating or supporting human health research studies with a strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) research ethics and data management. Youll be confident managing project timelines and research protocols and have excellent communication skills including the ability to engage warmly and professionally with study participants by phone and in person.

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in a field such as nursing public health science allied health social work or education and youll be comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative and multidisciplinary team. A high level of accuracy and ethical awareness is essential as is a current drivers licence as travel to participant visits across Auckland may be required.

Familiarity with REDCap or similar data capture systems and prior experience in community-based research or clinical trials would be an advantage.
