Job Description
A typical day as a Software Engineering Intern might include the following:
- Support SELs software development process
- Verify that software meets requirements.
- Implement firmware/software design.
- Provide support to engineering staff as needed.
- Follow engineering quality assurance procedures.
- Continuously identify measure and improve processes.
- Follow and apply SEL Values Principles of Operations and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
This job might be for you if:
- You are a current student pursuing a degree in computer science or equivalent with at least one year of technical coursework completed
- You have programming experience in C# C Java or equivalent OO programming language
- You have the ability to execute and document defined testing procedures
- You have strong writing documentation and speaking skills
- You have the ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- You have the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using scripting languages such as PowerShell Python Javascript Perl Ruby
- Practical knowledge of developing Microsoft Windows applications
- Knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Experience using revision control and source code management systems such as Git Mercurial SVN and Rational ClearCase
This is an onsite position.

Pay Range Data
($18.00 - $25.00 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate). Talk to your recruiter if you are curious about the rate for your year in school.
