This position functions as a Transportation Engineer assisting and participating in the administration of TSC wide
construction activities and the selection and oversight of consultant construction engineering services. Oversee
the work assigned to engineers and technicians in staking inspecting and documenting contractual work.
Coordinate work with private and public agencies. Assist the Construction Engineer in the administration and
oversight of local agency construction projects TSC wide as a resource to Clinton Eaton and Ingham Counties.
Review design plans and contract documents for accuracy and completeness. Perform and supervise interim and
final reviews of project record review. Receive resolve or refer complaints and inquiries from internal and
external customers.
The Salary listed above is a range that reflects the minimum rate at the entry(9)level through the maximum rate at the advanced (12)level. Based on education and experience candidates will be reviewed to determine what level they are qualified for.

Education
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
ExperienceTransportation Engineer 9 - 12
Possession of a registered professional engineer license as required by the State of Michigan may besubstituted for 6 months of experience at the Transportation Engineer 9-12 levels. This substitution mayonly be used once for any employee for qualification of appointment or early reclassification.
